I have lived and worked in Auburn for over 15 years. During that time, I have operated a business for 9 years, worked on community volunteer activities such as Campfire, PTA, Kiwanis and the Auburn Community Center Advisory Committee. Now, I would like to contribute even more of my energy to our community. I will work to encourage greater citizen input in city decision-making. As the mother of a nine-year old daughter, I know the importance of public safety. We have a fine police department, but I would work to prioritize those resources and add more officers if needed. Auburn Parks and Recreation programs provide excellent opportunities for our residents, but they must be kept relevant for all residents. I pledge to work hard for the efficient use of our tax dollars. If elected, I will do my best to make Auburn the most livable community in Washington State.

CHAPMAN

I am a lifelong Auburn resident, college graduate and local business owner. I care about Auburn's future and will bring fresh leadership and a balanced perspective to our City Council. The issues that concern me are the ones that concern Auburn's core: Growth - Growth must not exceed what our infrastructure can handle. Traffic - Auburn needs to be freed of its congestion and should explore all alternatives to improve traffic flow. Hometown character - To preserve Auburn's identity we must continue efforts to establish an attractive downtown, good schools and parks, and strong neighborhoods. A plan for the future - We need real citizen participation to prioritize major city improvements.
I have the education and experience to address these issues effectively. I promise to be a new voice and bring new energy to the Auburn City Council.
For Auburn's Future, Please Vote Kevin Chapman.
