Since moving to Bothell
19 years ago, and serving on Bothell city council for eight years, two as mayor,
I have worked tirelessly to make Bothell a better place for us all.
That includes
preserving our neighborhoods by directing cut-through traffic to major
arterials--not through our neighborhoods. To help in that process, we
need alternatives like the 39th Avenue/Maltby Road connection, one that will
open a full year sooner because of my work with the Snohomish County Executive.
City land use
policies must protect existing residents from higher densities. Included must be
trees that provide buffers quickly--not 10 years after the fact. And those trees
must be protected!
As projected revenues
decrease and service needs and costs increase, we must also
improve our retail tax base but not at the expense of our neighborhoods.
It’s your city. It’s
your vote. Please vote for me, Mike Noblet.

My wife Karen and I
settled in Bothell eleven years ago. Good schools, excellent police and fire
protection, and great neighborhoods, make Bothell an ideal environment to raise
our four children. I am an aerospace engineer and software developer, and design
test systems that ensure aircraft safety. I am active in the community as a
softball and soccer coach, umpire, and league officer. I have attended most city
council meetings in recent years, and am a current Bothell Planning
Commissioner.
Recent City Council
actions on the street plan, sewage treatment plant, and higher intensity
development, indicate that many of Bothell’s best qualities are in jeopardy.
Major decisions will be made soon that will affect us for many years to come.
I will work hard to
address traffic congestion with sensible solutions, promote public involvement,
encourage economic development without degrading residential neighborhoods, and
stay within budget without increasing taxes.
