Richard E. (Rich) Wagner

    City Councilman Rich Wagner has lived in Auburn for 23 years and is recognized for being fair, intelligent and hard working. A technology manager, Rich helps the city stay up-to-date and efficient. Through cooperation with other government agencies and private groups, he has reduced Auburn’s costs for water, transportation, parks, social programs and emergency services.

    To guide Auburn’s future, Rich Wagner led development of a City Vision that concludes with: “Auburn offers the opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy life.” Rich commented: “This means City government must encourage opportunities for jobs, housing, education, arts, religion, entertainment and historical experiences. It also means providing for local healthcare, personal safety, shopping and getting around town.”

    Rich and Kay have four children. His 90-year-old mother, Beth, is part of the family. He is a member of the Washington State University Engineering Board, Auburn Eagles, and Backcountry Horsemen of Washington.
