Our city is two
years old and still has many challenges ahead such as:
Addressing infrastructure deficits created by
pre-incorporation careless planning.
Striking the appropriate balance between in-house staffing
and outsourcing while increasing our level of customer service.
Developing long-range financial plans to address those
infrastructure issues including creative sources for funding parks, trails, and
open space.
Developing a strong role in regional affairs.
Creating partnerships with our neighboring cities to address
common issues.
Encouraging more citizen participation and involvement in the
community, parks/trail and traffic planning processes.
As a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, I have always been
involved in long-range planning issues - that has been true when I worked in
public accounting or the corporate sector. This strategic approach combined with
my long-term experience in land use and community planning gives me the skills
to find solutions to these challenging issues.
