King County Stormwater

Puget Sound is in trouble. You are the solution. Puget Sound starts here…
Local flooding

Stormwater is one of the significant sources of pollution in our nation’s waters and the most significant contributor to reduced water quality in Puget Sound.

Stormwater drainageAs part of our ongoing commitment to protect public health and improve environmental conditions in our streams, rivers, lakes and Puget Sound, King County has developed a stormwater management plan. The program is reviewed and updated annually, which provides the public with an ongoing opportunity to review and comment on the program’s development and implementation.

To learn more about stormwater, its impacts on the environment, how King County is addressing the issue, and how you can help minimize impacts on our local waters, please watch these short videos, and take a few moments to share your thoughts.
