The King County Open Data Project is an ongoing effort to release high-value, machine readable data sets to the public. The data sets currently available come from many areas of county government. Ongoing efforts to expand the data are in progress. King County will solicit public input on the website and initial data sets during an event on Oct. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Developers, media and citizens are invited to learn more about the data project. Register online to attend the workshop. Several months ago, King County held the first county-wide open-data workshop . Approximately 60 people joined staff to talk about open data and help prioritize our data efforts. The feedback from attendees helped shape the initial data site. The photo gallery below showcases images from the workshop. Video from the event is also available (1 hour, 22 minutes). (If you can't view the photos, get Flash Player.) |
