Status updates

Residents of the West Hill area submitted a petition for annexation to the city of Renton in the fall of 2008. Petition signatures were certified by King County Elections in December 2008. The city of Renton has submitted a notice of intent to annex this area to the Washington State Boundary Review Board (BRB) to consider this annexation. We expect the BRB will schedule a public hearing in early January 2010. King County will continue to work with residents and the city to provide the information necessary for informed decisions about the future governance of the West Hill PAA.
