The Kent Northeast area, part of Kent’s potential annexation area, is located east of the City of Kent, on the west plateau of Soos Creek. Use the map and search function below to determine whether an address falls within this PAA and/or within an active annexation area. The map controls allow you to zoom-in to see street names and other neighborhood features. The search function will place a star on the map if the address searched is within a PAA.
The Kent Northeast area, part of Kent’s potential annexation area, is located east of the City of Kent, on the west plateau of Soos Creek. To the north is the large unincorporated area of Fairwood / Petrovitsky, part of the City of Renton’s PAA. Kent Northeast includes the communities of Benson Hill and Panther Lake as well as neighborhoods near Soos Creek Park.
Status updates
The City of Kent successfully pursued annexation of the Panther Lake PAA by placing a ballot measure on the November 2009 ballot – asking residents of the Panther Lake PAA if they want to annex into the City of Kent. Residents approved the ballot measure by over 62% of the vote favoring annexation. More information on this issue can be found at this website:
